In London...almost Home!

We've just arrived at the Heathrow airport in London. We'll be home in a few hours. Both Bob and I were able to get some much needed sleep on the 9.5 hour flight from Delhi to London. We're both excited to be half-way home!

I'm reading a book entitled "Hindu Manners and Customs" and it's been very insightful as to why the people in India act the way they do. And it's a stark contrast to our "all men are created equal" thinking in American culture.

The Indian culture is broken down into four social castes, and people are required to live within the confines of the what their caste is allowed to do. We have basically ministered to people in the lowerst social caste while in India. Those who choose Jesus as their Lord ans Savior from sin are ostrasized from their families for life!

I'm reminded of Galatians 3:28, There is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, bond or free, you are all one in Christ Jesus." Becoming a child of God makes us all loved sons and daughters of God Almighty. We become hiers of God and equal heirs with Christ of a position of favor and blessing. The promises that God made to Abraham listed in Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 become immediately ours in Christ! No social, cultural, or sex distinctions remain as far as our standing with God.

Consider yourself blessed to be raised in a culture that allow you to believe, live, and share the good news of the gospel. Prayer for those of other cultures, that the light of God's Word would penetrate the darkness!

We'll be home soon!
