God's Promised Care

While I was praying this morning during our early morning prayer meeting, this scripture kept rising up inside of me. For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; for I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed. But my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has mercy on you (Isaiah 54:9-10).

As we approach the time of the tribulation, and as world conditions deteriorate, we have the promise of God that He will help us, have mercy on us, and deliver us! We have the assurance that, regardless of what each day brings, we can walk in God’s provision of peace and help.

If you look at Isaiah 54, God is promising that He will restore the wayward person, and that He would cause the person that has not received to receive. He tells us in verse 2, enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. Let’s expect many to come to the Lord as a result of the hardship they see all around them. When the night is darkest, the light shines the brightest! Those who don’t know the Lord and are looking for help will be drawn to the light in us!

In this chapter the Lord has promised that we would be established in His righteousness, and that fear on oppression would not rule us! He has promised that terror will not overtake us as His people! Those who rise up against us will be dealt with because of the covenant we have with Him! In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake (Isaiah 54: 14-15).

This chapter ends with a promise of protection and provision that we should take with us today: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord! (Isaiah 54:17).

  1. Thanks Pastor Mitch this was totally a word in due season! Exactly what was needed at the moment I read it.
I do claim those promises for the wayward person and all the others you mentioned! Thanks again.
