In a world that values the immediate over the eternal, that values natural things over spiritual realities, it’s important that we keep our faith strong. We live a life of faith, and not one of sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)! We’re not living by our feelings or the way things seem to be, we living as if the promises of God were absolutely true!
That means that every day I’m expecting the best that God has for my life. I’m expecting His strength the overcome my weakness, His bigness to overwhelm my smallness, His prosperity to absorb my poverty, His riches in glory to assume the obligation of my need, His health and healing to meet every challenge I face with sickness. Jesus is my all in all. He is the fullness that I am seeking.
Take some time today to remind yourself and the Lord of what He has said about you. Let your own ears hear your own mouth declare God’s word about your life. The Father will use your own words will lift you up!
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV)
Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (John 20:29).
