Help for Haiti

The terrible earthquake in Haiti has the attention of the whole world this week. This is a natural disaster almost beyond comprehension. We’ve placed links on our website to Global Aid Network, which is the humanitarian relief arm of the ministry of Campus crusade for Christ, and Samaritan’s purse, Franklin’s Graham’s ministry that is heavily involved in relief efforts worldwide. Several months ago, Campus Crusade for Christ’s ministry sent a huge container of pre-packaged food and shoes to Haiti and placed it in a warehouse in the event of a disaster happening there! So food is already there being served through their ministry!

What has happened in Haiti is just a preview of even more terrible disasters that are to come to the earth as we get closer to the tribulation time. Let’s pray now for those affected tragedies to be drawn to Jesus by the love they see in His people. I’ll leave you with the scriptures that warn of terrible earthquakes such as this one that will be frequent in our day. Jesus is coming soon! Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world (Matthew 24:7-NLT).I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. (13) Then the stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from a tree shaken by a strong wind. (14) The sky was rolled up like a scroll, and all of the mountains and islands were moved from their places. (15) Then everyone—the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person—all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. (16) And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.(17) For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?" (Revelation 6:12-17).
And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth [there will be] distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity [without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring ( the echo) of the tossing of the sea, (26) Men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken and caused to totter. (27) And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with great (transcendent and overwhelming) power and [all His kingly] glory (majesty and splendor) (Luke 21:25-27-Amplified).
