The Uttermost Parts of the Earth

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

I’m presently in London in between flights. We just landed after an 11 hour flight from Addis. During the flight, I took the time to edit the video I captured during our 2 weeks in Ethiopia. I can’t even begin to describe how important what we are doing is in Ethiopia. Victory Fellowship is making a great impact there, and it’s all because of the faithfulness of God.

The Lord has given our church the responsibility of helping these brothers and sisters in Ethiopia reach their communities for Jesus. To do this, we provide monthly support to Meberatu, we take 2 trips each year to train pastors and encourage church leaders, and to evangelize, we provide money for church buildings to be built, and we send Beacon Institute of Ministry courses for the equipping of the saints in the work of the ministry.

There are well over 1000 people combined in the 10 churches named Victory Fellowship in Ethiopia. The Lord has commissioned us to help them. If not us, then who will? This is a serious responsibility. Let’s together commit ourselves to God afresh. Let give Him the best that we have. Let’s be diligent to put spiritual things first place in our lives. Let’s be diligent to meditate in the word. Let’s be diligent to pray. God has chosen us for this task because He believes that we will join together in faith and believe Him for great things.

As we reach the ends of the earth through our efforts in Ethiopia, let’s expect the Father to enable us to continually reach our Jerusalem, our Judea, and our Samaria. That means affecting our families and community, our state and our nations with the power of God through His word.

This is not a time to be mediocre. This is a time for us believers to shine. The world is watching. The Father is waiting on our obedience. And the host of hell tremble at the power released when people obey the Word and the Spirit of God.
